COMMENTS
The previous owner was proud of the flushing loo, shown,
which she installed, and thinks the boat has a reputation for it already!
I have already made a wooden seat/locker for behind the
Skipper's seat, and now it is easier to step into from the port side.
She needs a bit of TLC, with pock marks on her gelcoat,
and she is due a bottom scrape - not been done for three years.
The work I need help on is the replacement of a bent
steel canopy hood hinge. It is so badly fitted that the bracket pulls the
screws out of the cockpit side when lowering the hood as the bracket won't
slide up the frame tube. See picture. I wonder who makes them?
I also want to find a way of fitting a steel tube into
the roof light (pic 13) on the inside, and making a wooden frame around it.
We keep the boat at Brundall Gardens marina, 20 mins
from us at Gorleston on the Norfolk coast. This location is close to my old
village pubs at Surlingham where I lived for 10 years, so I will see many old
friends there and cruise nearby on the Yare.
